Record Number of Universities Competing in FS2008!

A staggering 99 universities from 23 countries have entered FS2008, compared to 90 universities last year. 31 new universities have entered this year, whereas only 26 entered last year. Registration closed on 28 March 2008 with 116 teams registered in total.

Due to the increasing popularity of Formula Student, more judges than ever before are needed. More information on how to become a judge can be found on the Judges webpage and completed Judging Forms can be sent to Hazel Morgan.

Case Study: Matthew Wells (29), McLaren Formula 1


Matthew Wells took part in Formula Student 2001 and graduated from Brunel University with a Mech Eng Degree. He worked at Jaguar F1 from 2001 to 2006 and is now a Composite Designer at McLaren F1. City University goes Down Under to visit RMIT

Roger Valsler, Faculty Advisor at City University, has visited RMIT Racing in Melbourne Australia on a number of occasions and has recently returned from seeing RMIT prepare for the FSAE competition in the USA in May. RMIT has won an FSAE competition in the USA as well as the Formula Student 2007 event, and FS2004. Please read the City visits RMIT article to see how they got on...
